An Accurate Compact Antenna for Mobile Operations

 The DASA-3172 Mobile DF Antenna is a VHF/UHF antenna consisting of 2 annular slot elements enclosed within the antenna housing for accurate and repeatable bearings. It includes the modulator, control and coax cables. The antenna is designed to receive vertically polarized signals in the 20 MHz to 1 GHz frequency range.

The antenna electronics are mounted inside the chassis with the antenna elements and chassis is enclosed with a compact PVC ­formed, ruggedized, and lightweight abrasive resistant cover with UV protection. Vehicle mounting brackets are provided for stability and are attached to the bottom of the chassis to facilitate vehicle installation.  All power and control signals to the antenna are provided through one 9 conductor control cable via the DF processor. The received signal with bearing information encoded is routed to the receiver through a RF coaxial cable. Control signals are compatible with the AADF-3101 DF Processor by Antenna Authority Inc.
